Music to Soothe Savage Beasts, created by pearlie
The Fairy conjured him up, and the Lady of the Forest remembers well the lessons
of The Master. She plays sweetly on her harp to soothe all the savage beasts of
the forest.
Please check hi-res.
Red Submarine, created by pearlie
The rivets on the reservoir ball reminded me of a submarine, so I took the ball
from the sky to under the sea. This was a bit tricky for me, as I don't know all
the "tricks" yet, but was fun. Used hue/sat, burn, transform &
cloning. Source image & 3 others. Comments are welcome.
Marble Cheesecake, created by pearlie
I love to make them, I love to eat them - had to make it a chocolate and vanilla
swirled confection. Top it off with a glass of ice cold cappucino. Yummmmmm! And
this one has no calories - yay :)
Source section extracted, hue/sat & burn used to get the right colors,
'swirled' the colors, then squished to get the perspective and added to source
2.
Thanks to the folks at sxc for your delicious assistance.
Surf Shack, created by pearlie
This image just seemed like a natural for a little Surf Shack at the edge of
town. It was just too gloomy, so I added some fun. Lots of stuff added, with the
usual hue/sat, burn, and some type treatment for the name.
Thanks to emsago for the two surf shots and brokenarts for the sunset in
Egypt!
Coming Home, created by pearlie
That's my mom and me on the right, waiting for Daddy. You can't see us, but we
live in the fourth quadrant on the starboard side. Daddy gets to fly one of the
shuttles - Mommy and I think that's pretty cool!
Home Sweet Home, created by pearlie
from the Old Mother Hubbard story, the old window matched the old shoe... Mama
Hubbard went into town for more dogfood!
Comments welcome. Used perspective, hue/sat, burn & heal.
Tribute, created by pearlie
The news came with shock and great sadness. When I arrived home, this rose had
bloomed in my garden. I send it to you and your family. Thank you for your time
with us here.
My rose and your most recent chop, this is a tribute to you, Sirchopsalot.
There Goes the Neighborhood!, created by pearlie
Although this is sort of on the 'inanimate object' theme, I've used the chair
backs and the fizzy aspirin source images to make a new breed of 'fish', along
with a background and blimp image. Sources below, comments welcome. BTW, very
tedious erasing on that chair...
Kisses for the Bone!, created by pearlie
Coudn't resist. Mommy knows what her girl likes.
Out of Tune, created by pearlie
This poor old horn has seen better days! An intense challenge I took upon myself
- when I saw all the pipe parts, I envisioned a brass instrument. Tedious but
fun, especially warping the bell and mouthpiece. Burned, dodged and added a lens
flare or two. Whew! Compare final to source 1. Comments welcome.
thanks to sxc for the image.

Manta from Mars, created by pearlie
Back from a successful mission, this manta has traveled very far, from the
depths of the ocean to deep space. 'Cloaked' in stealth colors for this mission.
See hi-res for details on the 'cockpit'.
My first try at "making" smoke. Not crazy about the outcome, was
disappointed that two of the tuts were no longer available. Used distort and
liquify on it to get it close to my idea. Comments welcome.
Shroomcakes, created by pearlie
the caps make perfect pancakes! they've got a special earthy flavor.
thanks to those at sxc who provided the other images.
Jetson's 'Hood, created by pearlie
My first attempt at ps only, a noobie at this! Wanted to do a takeoff on the
Jetson's spaceage neighborhood.
Can't edit the steps! Step 4, made the tower top with the straight line lasso,
gave it the chrome effect, then added the window with a glow effect. Also added
a 'mass' in lower left corner with a brush, gave it a few hits. Big lens flare
at top right.
See sbs and full-res. Let the comments fly!
Global Flood, created by pearlie
Many strongly suggest that we get our energy use and sources in better shape...
or we'll ALL have to deal with the effects of global warming. I highly agree.
Start at home and at work.
Darth Tomader, created by pearlie
This is my first try at something more complex like the pros are doing... a lot
of work, and a very interesting challenge. Source image only! ok, and some
effects. but that's it.
Who ate the berries?, created by pearlie
I did! First I ate all the strawberries, and then most of those little cherry
tomatoes. And I washed it all down with that glass of orange juice.
To cover my tracks, I put back lots of grapes only, and left a glass of wine
where the juice was. The vase got a patch, too.
Thanks to woodsy, vierdrie & debsch at sxc.hu for their images.
When Pigs Fly..., created by pearlie
There was no way that mere bird wings would lift this pig - he needed a fighter
jet! I erased the front wheels and kept a bit of the windshield.
Thanks to Ricciardi for the jet photo and Ayla87 for the potbellied pig photo.
