Ok, following some of the comments I received, and many hours of trying
fruitlessly to re-upload my image, I finally seem to have got it! (I opened and
re-saved image in Illustrator). So here is the new improved version. Hope you
like it....

Sorry, should have made the link to original obvious.
One egg was selected and placed on blank background. Egg was transformed to
make more 'normal' egg shape. Pinhole light added.
New layer created with antique globe. This was distorted to fit egg shape,
layer opacity was reduced, and embossing filter added. Levels were adjusted to
match egg.
Layers were blended using Colorburn mode.
Whole image placed on black background.
