Do not dare stick a goat head onto my body
Thanks to b1itzkrieg for the source.
I used a technique found from the video "You Suck at Photoshop" (#5)
to get rid of the stones. I liked the humor of it :D
First I found an image of space and used a reddish gradient to change the
color of the planet and have the planet reflect on the shuttle. Then I used
layer masking and blending to import the stones to the scene. I erased the
strings and added a slight gradient to signify the heat of entry. After this I
used the patch tool to get ride of some of the more unnatural looking
"craters" for an edit. Thanks for the suggestion. This is what mars
would be like if we were having an asteroid storm after colonization. This is
what it would look like if a picture was taken from a satellite :D
Lots of layers (50+) and liquify options. Used pastel and plastic wrap on
background. View SBS for details.
I used Fluid Mask 3 to get the town by itself. The rest is self explanatory.
First I changed the background of the clock to black. Then I changed it to
white. This ensured a small fuzzy dark outline. I used a filter (forgot which
one) to change the texture to a nice cartoon-like look. I then found a picture
of a car and applied the same filter. I pasted and warped and distorted the
clocks so they would like like the rims.
Why not?
This took forever to do :D
2 Hours of editing. Check the SBS for more exact details. I added a full
body to the dummy we had.

Used that tutorial and got this effect; not what I'm aiming for but it was fun
making it.
The butterfly was made entirely with the source. View the SBS. I know it looks
like the left wing is mixing with the trees but that's the texture of the wing.
But you can see it if you look right down the scope.
*My first contest*
It's not a lack of skill, but a lack of imagination
I used the magnetic lasso tool to carefully select the chick from its natural
environment. Using the eraser tool I erased the edges to give the chick a more
naturally fuzzy look. Then I found a picture of some ducks and inserted the
chick in those pictures.
I'm pretty sure I lost my manhood while I was doing this (makeup, eyeliner...),
but the worst part was I had fun doing it ;)
SBS up. Basically I used a combination of a bunch of tutorials at the top of
PST's page. They work really well
I knew I had to have an animal in a cliff. Used the lasso to remove the lion's
face, copied it to the source. Turned the opacity of the new layer way down.
Used two filters on both pictures to give it that look which is supposed to
represent the line between cartoons/animations and reality.
Only source used. Really simple and easy stuff (liquify and neon glow) for a
look I wasn't going for.
It would probably look better in full resolution.
Lack of ideas gives way to simple entries.
Edit 2: The Penguin is in the fireball... I guess you can't see that clearly
enough. I'm leaving this post up here just because I like it, but I'm hoping to
find some time to edit it again and have penguins in the water. AP week however
is a first priority
Simple enough. When in doubt, refer to an apocalypse.
Edit: Appreciate the suggestions. I really couldn't make the penguin more
obvious because it would make the image look less realistic so I did the exact
opposite and made it less obvious. Now its cartoony :)
