Meh, didn't know if it'd be worth entering this or not, just sketched it because
I was bored last night. Let me know what you think =] (BTW This IS all photoshop
=P just have a drawing tablet to draw it on XD) I may add a background after
this weekend, still debating on it

Ofcourse it would be nice to see background, any shadow work, mabe some effects. Just to give a _chop_ touch to the image. Now its just ordinary painting. But still i like it, well done.

Hmm, the way I see it, drawing and painting is a major part for this... But that is meant to be used as the source in a way. from there you need to do things such as color adjustment, layering (along with layer styles), cropping, extra custom painting, etc... When it comes to digital art, this has potential, but I think we are more graded on the combination of tools along with visual appeal.

All this was, was pretty much cutting and pasting different parts of the
pipeline and recoloring them. Of course I also flipped the handle as well so it
became a little hat =] Eye was hand drawn with the mouse

First off, I hand-drew the rainbow with a drawing tablet then lowered the
opacity to add a bit more liveliness. As for the background, I've layered two of
the original image, the first however, is just the keyhole itself. The somehow
mysterious background itself is caused by a star brush (credit to
easyelements.com) overlaying the original image. Sorry for the long description,
but that's how I did it. =]
