I am extremely new to photoshop... I used Brightness/Contrast, Stock Moon photo,
Blending, Added cloud mist, photo of daughter with blending.

The overall feeling is really nice. One suggestion: the girl's picture should not be transparent, and you also may want to try to apply a photo filter to accentuate the effect

I think the transparency in your model works well given the title of your piece. That begs the question though that is asked over and over in art, if the title should have to be known to understand the piece. Then you have to ask yourself how that could be done more effectively without a title... maybe putting a few gravestones in the field? Or maybe a cross in the foreground - like is put up for those who've died in car accidents? Overall, I feel that you've conveyed the mood quite well - through the mist and levels.

In this picture I took source photo and overlayed a picture of my son and
granddaughter on the hands. I then dodge, burned and blurred the background
just a bit. I then used a satin finish and blended all together to get a soft
touching feel to this photo.

SImple is sometimes the way to go. I used a background compliments of
icantgetpublished.com free backgrounds. Added text and warped it. Added simple
butterfly from brushes from photoshop.

This entry is all source and own background. This picture represents how I felt
when I had a nervous breakdown. I was fine one minute and then shattered by an
internal explosion that left me in pieces that I had to put back together. I
hope I have represented what I was trying to convey with this picture. Please
leave comments and let me know what you think.

I created my own background using Sponge and Plastic Wrap out of photoshop. I
then cut and added spheres out of photoshop contest and used Inner glow, Bevel
and Emboss, Contour and Blend. I then added the letters using Drop shadow,
Inner Shadow, Outer glow, Inner Glow, Bevel and Emboss, Contour, Texture and
Blended. I then added smaller text and warped and blended.

I added the buffalo... then I drew the designs on the tee pee with pen tool.
Blended and shaded.
